About the Artist
Jerri lived in California and Connecticut as a child. She moved with her parents to North Carolina as a teenager and has resided in North Carolina since then. Jerri has always had a strong love for animals and she grew up with cats and dogs and took riding lessons during her childhood. She purchased her first horse after college and has had horses as companions and friends all of her adult life. Jerri has a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has worked in the human services field for over twenty years. Jerri has always enjoyed dabbling in artistic endeavors, including drawing, painting, appliqué quilting, taking photographs and painting murals. Working in metal was a natural progression from Jerri’s love of drawing and painting animals. Jerri has three grown sons. She lives in Lincolnton, North Carolina with her boyfriend and all of their animal friends who at present include three dogs, three cats, five horses and two goats. Besides enjoying making metal art, Jerri includes bird watching, trail riding, boating, hiking and reading as her favorite activities.
